Superstar Arnold Schwarzenegger is Adam, an ace pilot in the very near future who is having a serious identity crisis. An evil corporation illegally cloned him, and now they're trying to kill him to hide the evidence. Torn from his beloved family and faced with a shocking exact duplicate of himself, Adam races against time to reclaim his life and save the world from the underground cloning movement.
From the director of Tomorrow Never Dies, The 6th Day also stars powerhouse actors Robert Duvall (Gone In 60 Seconds, Deep Impact) and Michael Rapaport (Deep Blue Sea, Cop Land). Prepare for a high-tech sci-fi blast with twice the Arnold and twice the action!

I thought it was okay! - 4 out of 5 (3/19/2001)
"The 6th Day" was a film that took a bashing in the theaters, both
critically and box-office wise. Fans pointed out the fact that the film was
a bit of a rehash of "Total Recall" and critics said that Schwarzenegger
might finally be past his prime as an action star. I was one of those who
looked at the critical posts and decided not to see the movie in the
theater.
Now, watching it on DVD, I have to wonder if the film wasn't treated a

Turgid Implausable Drama - 3 out of 5 (6/7/2001)
Arnold Schwarzennager, Robert Duval, and Michael Rappaport can't save this attempt to make a Sci-fi action movie about the recent advances in Biotechnology and their potential for abuse. Too much dialog, too many emotions, loose editing, and a mediocre script doom this effort. There are a few interesting twists and turns and a couple of surprises but it's "formula" the rest of the way. If you're going to rely on formula, then it had better be executed spectacularly. Unfortunately, this movie

Arnold it's back - 3.5 out of 5 (6/4/2001)
A very good and funny film with a great performance of Schwarzenegger after really bad movies like Batman & Robin and The End of Days.
The plot it's a very controversial and actual theme: clonation, not too deep but well done it, decent action scenes and a lot of emotion.
The video transfer it's good with rich and well defined color, the Dolby Digital 5.1 mix leaves nothig to desire.
Now the worse part: extras, almost nothing, I was waiting a Special Edition treatment from Columbia but no thi
